Polydesmida: (suborder Dalodesmidea, family uncertain): Noteremus
The two endemic, H+19 Noteremus live in the same part of Tasmania, but at opposite extremes of habitat: N. summus at 1100-1300 m on top of Mt Weld, N. infimus in the dark in caves in the Junee-Florentine karst. N. summus is the largest H+19 polydesmidan in Tasmania.
Noteremus infimus Mesibov, 2009
Males to 12 mm long, pale. Abundant in Junee-Florentine caves, e.g. in Cauldron Pot, Growling Swallet, Khazad Dum, Porcupine Pot and The Chairman.
Noteremus summus Mesibov, 2009
Males to 22 mm long. Only known from pitfall trapping on the summit of Mt Weld.
